Email Address

If you don't have an Office 365, Google Workspace account or cPanel, we recommend setting up your email address with GoDaddy if you have your domain hosted with GoDaddy.

After purchasing a domain, to set up your email address on GoDaddy, go through the following steps and buy an email plan (like Professional Email or Microsoft 365) if you haven't done so already.

  1. Access the Email Setup Center with your domain: Login to your GoDaddy account. Go to your product page. Under the 'Professional Email' or 'Microsoft 365' column, click on 'Manage' next to the account you want to use. This will automatically take you to the Email Setup Center.
  2. Prepare to Create Your Email Address: On the Email Setup Center page, you will see your domain and whether it is ready to set up mail. You'll also see how many available email addresses you have to set up.
  3. Begin Creating Your New Address: Click on 'Create'. Here, you will be prompted to create a new email address.
  4. Input Your Preferred Email Name: Choose what you'd like your email address to be. This will typically be your name or a name relevant to your business.
  5. Create and Confirm Password: You will then need to create a password for your email account. This password should be secure and something you would easily remember. Confirm the password you just created in the 'Confirm password' text box.
  6. Select Your Mailbox Size: Choose your desired mailbox size from the dropdown menu. The mailbox size is how much you can store within your email.
  7. Finalise and Create: To finalise your setup, click on 'Create', and your email address will be ready for use.
  8. Check Activation Status:  The email may take a few minutes to become active. You can check the status by clicking on 'Refresh'. Your email account is ready to use once the status shows ‘Setup Complete’.
  9. Start Using Your New Email Address:  Now click 'Launch' in the web browser column to open your new Professional Email or Microsoft 365 email inbox. From this point, you can send and receive emails using your new custom domain email account.
